2. Professional Service: For a thorough cleaning, consider professional service. They will blow out the drain line with air pressure, clean and sterilize the drip pan, and eliminate residual algae. To prevent future algae growth, you can use time-release biocide tablets placed in the drip pan.
3. DIY Cleaning: If you prefer a DIY approach, follow these steps:

• Inspect the Overflow Drip Pan: Check for any standing water in the overflow drip pan. Some condensation is normal, but excess water indicates that your condensate line needs cleaning.
• Pan-Treat Tablets: If the pan is fouled, use Pan-Treat tablets. Use two or more tablets per ton of system capacity initially, and then one tablet per ton each month for subsequent treatments or clean pans.
