Key Components Of Supermarket Refrigeration Systems
A supermarket refrigeration system is a complex system that uses refrigerant to transfer heat from the inside of a refrigeration unit to the outside environment. The system consists of several key components:
- Compressor: The compressor is the heart of the refrigeration system and is responsible for pumping refrigerant throughout the system. It compresses the refrigerant gas, which increases its temperature and pressure.
- Condenser: The condenser is a heat exchanger that dissipates the heat absorbed from the inside of the refrigeration unit to the outside environment. The refrigerant gas flows through the condenser, where it releases its heat to the surrounding air or water.
- Evaporator: The evaporator is another heat exchanger that absorbs heat from the inside of the refrigeration unit and transfers it to the refrigerant.
- Expansion valve: The expansion valve controls the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator and helps to regulate the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant.
